I just moved to SA, Does anyone know any good techno / electronica dance club in this city?
i looking for fast beats and a dance floor and people bringing glow sticks.

All the bars ive found on line are over 3 years old and probably closed down.

is there any techno scene in this town?
please help.

the closest would be the Bonham Exchange. they do techno and sometimes a rave. It's the most liberal fun club in town. Polyester's is a make believe club catering to tourists. I've never liked it. Other than that, I'm cluless.

Not really. Mostly hip-hop and latin clubs here. Techno kinda died out. (I still enjoy it, though!)

The Heat, on a saturday night plays a lot of techno/dance. It is a gay club, on Main next to San Antonio College. There are more places which do also, but my brain isnt working right now haha.

Markus Schulz played here somewhere a couple of months ago... found out about it a few days after the fact so I don't know if the show was any good. I wish Armin van Buuren would show up here or in Austin.

There is this one club near SAC...it's kind of a Goth type place. I'm pretty sure they play techno. I can't remember the name for the life of me! I'll sleep on it!

The "goth" place close to SAC is Atomix. They don't play real techno there, although there is some pretty heavy, industrial-ish, techno-ish dance music on Saturdays. Not that crowded, but there's a regular crowd. Friday night is the big night there, and that is more of a classic new wave, goth, industrial night.

I always hear that Bonham is the best true dance place in this city, but I've never been there. The Saint and Heat are cool, but you have to be down with the boys' boys, if you're not one yourself. Either way, check it out. . . .

There's tons of places in strip mall-like settings throughout the city. I prefer something closer to the urban core, but there are other "options" if you don't mind a more suburban setting.
