Default I am getting down about houses

I have bid on 4 homes and lost everyone of them. I feel like I have looked at so many homes. This last home I even bid more than asking price and still nothing.I really wanted it to so now I don't even want to look anymore. Ah this is horrible. Can anyone offer any words of wisdom.

I'm sorry that you're going through that..........just remember, it's only a house, and it won't be "home" till you move in and make it so. We lost out on what we thought was our dream home, and a week later got our house--and now we're actually thankful that we didn't get the one we thought we really wanted. It'll happen........it just takes patience. In the meantime, come on over and do my yard! That'll get you in the right frame of mind, anyway.

Do you mind telling us what you are looking for? I happen to know of a great house, not even on the market yet! Neighbors are re-locating. Not sure if it meets your criteria. Wishing you the best!

Its a buyers market right now. If youre not getting the deal you are seeking, then you are driving a real hard bargain, thats okay, dont give up, the right deal is the right deal for you. You know what you want, and why you want it, so be patient, when you get the right house at the right price, you'll be glad you waited. The patience and endurance you show now, will help you last the thirty years of the mortgage note.

Keep in mind that there is usually a lot less competition in the winter months. I bet if you put in a good offer on a house in, say, late November, you could get a fantastic deal. Then you'd have instant appreciation come spring...that's one way to look on the bright side! Good luck, and I know you'll find something soon .

Are you pre-approved for financing?

Is the purchase contingent on you selling your home?

This happened to me too! Found a house I loved, only on the market 6 days. It went under contract while I was writting an offer! The good news it that it shows our market isn't dead! Keep trying!

SO TRUE! This is exactly what happened with us as well (just bought our first home in April.) I thought we had found our "Dream Home" & when the deal fell through I was heart broken. The home we now live in was found completely by accident but was SO perfect for us. I now know it was simply meant to be!

Everything will work out for the best.
