I'm a Time Warner Customer too....
.....but I'm not sure I like it. I have the whole works, cable TV, DSL, and Digital Phone. At first it was a good deal with the intro offers, but I've had too many glitches that irritate me to no end. I do like paying one bill however, but it's a whopper!
BUT...OTH....SBC (now ATT) was not any better and worse with customer service. I can't even write about it with getting angry.
I suppose it's a lesser of two evils? Or three if you opt for a dish?
Any thoughts or suggestions? (or is this topic ok for discussion?)

I have had Digital Phone for over a year now and I have had zero complaints and a couple minor interruptions/glitches all resolved in no more than a day. I think the service is great. I also have heard many other people complain about Time Warner, I guess they like me lol

What kind of problems have you been having? I have the package deal and yeah it's like $165/month and we only have 1 tv but we haven't had any problems *crosses fingers*. SBC is awful I used to have it, plus their internet service (for us at least) was incredibly slooooow. I understand dish is nothing to get excited about either, I haven't had enough issues to bother buying one of those behemoths though.

We're stuck in a cable monopoly at this time. I wish others (i.e. Comcast, Adelphia, Cablevision, etc) were around to have some competition that would benefit us, the consumers.
I have all 3 services and put up with them. My cable service is ok, but since i own Plasma & LCD high-def tv's i need great high definition programming. The signal is so compressed i can't enjoy the true potential of my tv's. We have all the channels and 2 high def DVR's. Total we pay is just under $200.00.
My phone sporadically goes out so thank goodness i have a mobile phone in case of emergencies. Very scary to be without a phone, especially when you have a young infant.
Roadrunner is the best so far. Not too many problems and they don't outsource their tech support.

I work for a cable company in California that use to be part of Time Warner Cable, but I will bite my tongue. Everyone's experience is different, and we all have a right to express our opinions.
Hello to eveyone.

My neighbor switched to digital Time Warner phone and had lots of trouble with it. He showed up at our door mad as a hornet one day because his phone service had been out for several hours. We will keep our AT&T, thank you!
We are also have the local cable/HD service and have not had any problems with it to speak of. Sometimes the cable box resets itself and is off for a few minutes, which is irritating, but otherwise, we've been okay with it.
We went from dial-up to Roadrunner and so far, it's been good. I just wish that Time Warner would give a discount to those that have 2 of their services. Or do they and I just don't know it?

They do. Go here: http://www.timewarnercable.com/sanan...html?menu=7270
They have some two-service bundles on the left as well.
Regarding AT&T, I've not seen its new fiber to the premises (FTTP) and fiber to the node (FTTN) services, but I'm curious to. If anyone has their video services w/HDTV, let me know how you like it. We don't have it in the city I live in, yet.
I would like to move to SA within 2007, if an interesting high-paying job opportunity pops up. It would be interesting for me to see AT&T and TWC go head to head with their competing phone/data/video services.

I suppose I'm a Luddite in some respects; I know a few people who have digital phones and have headaches with them. The telecommuting customer service companies I'm considering don't allow digital, so I'm staying with good-old basic land line for $15/mo. Yeah, I don't have caller ID, but I *do* have an answering machine...with microcasettes .

For customer service I like Time Warner. I remember having to wait all day with the old phone companies. At least TW breaks the waiting period into half days.
