Default Scrapbooking in San Antonio

We'll be moving to SA at the end of the month and would like to meet other crafters. I love scrapbooking and stamping and would enjoy joining other women that also enjoy the same hobby.

I'll be living in temporary housing at the Crescent Apartments near the Quarry until we find a home in AH.

Please let me know if you are a crafter and have room for one more to join your group!

Thanks,
Tommi

Hi Tommi
If you go to scrapbook.com forums you'll find that there are a lot of scrapbookers here in San Antonio. As for lss there are quite a few also. I usually got to Scrapbook Heaven on Bandera Rd, they have a really large scrapbook room there. I don't know about any groups that get together but I'm sure they could tell you.

Tommi....I'm definitely not the one to ask about scrapbooking, but I do know that the Michaels in the Quarry has tons of scrapbooking supplies. They offer classes and also might know of a group in the area you're moving to.
I think there is one or two small scrapbooking shops in AH. If I see them and remember the name I'll send off a post!

Good luck!

Thanks so much!

I just love this forum and am searching on it all of the time; really invaluable!

We are househunting in AH so it would be wonderful to find the two shops there.

I'm living outside Philadelphia now and one would think there would be a scrapbooking/stamping store here but I had to drive an hour away to a tiny town called York in order to find a store dedicated just to stamping/scrapping!

:-)

Hi Tommi,
I am an avid scrapbooker and a wanna-be stamper.

Although my personal favorite store is Scrapbook Heaven (awesome place, large store, huge selection, great classroom and classes, etc. etc.), there are several stores in and around the San Antonio area to choose from.

There is Scrapbook 911 off of Blanco Rd. on the far Northside (close to Blanco and Loop 1604). They are a great store, fun people, cool stuff.

There was the Memory Bucket in Helotes, heading toward Bandera. Unfortunately, there was a fire in the strip mall where they were located and they are temporarily out of business. I hear they are supposed to reopen, but I have no details.

There is a store off of 281 North and Bitters. I can't remember the new name of it, and I haven't been in there in years.

A brand new store just opened up called The Scrapbook Corral. This is located in La Vernia (southeast of San Antonio, out Highway 87). Cute store and fun!

There is a store that specializes in stamping and paper crafts called SA Stamps and Paper - no that's not right. It used to be Stamp Antonio but I can't remember the new name. Anyway, they are located on NW Military Hwy off of Loop 410. Not far if you're near the Quarry.

HOpe this was helpful to you. Good luck and have fun with your stamping and scrapping!

Do yourself a favor and visit Scrapbook Heaven. You won't be disappointed and it will be worth the time you spend there.

Thanks for the info! I've come across their meetup site, or at least aposting to it through the Scrapbook Corral (La Vernia) website. Thanks to your link I got a lot more info. I'm thinking about joining them. Do you have to attend x number of events, crops, etc? Or is it just a group who enjoys scrapping/paper crafting and get together for fun?
