I am a little surprised that Westcreek doesn't do anything for this. I haven't heard of anything going on around here. Maybe I am out of the loop?

Don't wait on someone to invite you, go get your two neighbors, have some chips, add a little music or conversation and you got your own block party. It's just safe to know who lives next door.

Have fun!!

Our neighborhood is having a party from 6-9. At one house there will be children's games and activities. I think most of the adults will hang out in yards, have a few drinks, and get to know each other. I know about 6 sets of our neighbors but am looking forward to getting to know more tonight! Everyone have fun at your events and be safe!

I should have planned a little better for this! I do know our neighbors (next door on both sides) pretty well but it would be nice to get to know people a little farther down the street.

It's never to late silly! Go knock on their door tonight. Take the first step, you just might find a friend!

I am actually on the very shy side but I could go stop in and say "hello".

I was actually thinking that I should have done little "get to know you baskets" to bring with me.

No! You don't have to get all fancy! Trust me, you get enough people involved and there will be more food than you can possibly eat--and beer.

I'm getting excited about mine and I sure hope we get a nice turnout!
