Oh now that's a cool idea Steel Man but they're supposed to be putting a Costco in at the 1604/Kyle Seale/Hausemann mega thingie. I think it'd be to close to that. Plus I don't have any in's with that land. I have some with a huge chunk at Alamo Ranch. Plus Helotes land is an over priced rip off with a city government that stinks to work with. I may live there but I'm not developing there!

Paka and Jules, what get together? I've been slackin about keeping up with this board so I must have missed something (oh big surprise there!). Let me know where and when and we'll show!

We are doing a Super Supper put dinner date on Monday, Monday, 14 May at the Super Suppers at Culebra and 1604. It is on the Walmart side of Culebra, in the newest addition to that little strip mall near Cici's Pizza.

We are meeting at 4pm and thought we would kill two birds with one stone...get dinners prepared for the future while getting to visit!!! Come and join us and you can invite your DH too!!!

Are there going to be two Lowe's and two Target's in that area? A Lowe's seems to be planned for Alamo Ranch Marketplace but there's also a Lowe's and Target planned for Potranco and 1604 next to the Walmart.

Maybe Lowe's goes into ARM and Costco's builds at Potranco and 1604.

Ohhh...that would be even BETTER to have a COSTCO'S at Potranco vs Culebra...at least for me! If a Lowe's is TOO close, I will have to put a homing device on darling hubby!!! He LOVES those places!!

You can see in it the plans for extending the 151 into AR. Scheduled completion for the 151 extension is March 2008. Love it. Also, you can get a feel for the green areas and overall layout of the AR Marketplace.
Thanks for the info. We're fairly new to this board and the info here is really helping us stay connected. We're building a Pulte home in Alamo Ranch, the McMullen series. We're in Florida so it's tough to stay connected.

I've been reading a lot about the Market Place but I was wondering what kind of retail is actually in the community itself.

Thanks again for the information.

So far not much actually within the community, but there is going to be a CVS, a bank, and that's all for now that's been announced. However, there are plans for dr offices, and more retail....just not made public yet.

We've seen what they've done in the Stone Oak area and liked the way they incorporated some retain in the actual community. We hope it's a similar situation at Alamo Ranch.

Thanks for the info.

Here are some photos I took this morning:

Marketplace sign near corner of 1604/Culebra

IBC Bank on SW corner of Westwood Loop and Culebra

Marketplace site. Taken from Alamo Ranch Pkway between Westwood Loop and 1604... facing North.

View of Markplace site on Westwood Loop halfway between Culebra and Alamo Ranch Pkwy (facing Culebra)

Same location as above, but facing East. 1604 is in the distance.

Three of these signs line an area of Alamo Ranch Parkway

Driving along Alamo Ranch Pkwy... everything's nice 'n green these days

Question Afret

I've seen a lot of good information on this site and you have all been very helpful.

What construction is planned between AR Marketplace and Westcreek outside of 1604? Is it retail or housing only?
Will there be retail or housing along the Wiseman BLVD road extension outside of 1604?

Thanks!
