In another post of his/hers, they state that they moved here within the last year.

Yeah, unless you're uber-rich, I doubt people just move to one city and decide after a couple of months to move to another city.

Those for sale signs the OP is talking about could be the result of many things. From military being relocated to foreclosure to out of area buyers/investors looking to rent or sale the home. To come to one absolute conclusion makes little sense.

I offered NO conclusions, but I've come across nothing but sensitive people

I apologize, I didn't notice the date you made the post.

That's still fairly recent, so what's you opinion of things?

No need to be sarcastic (if you are, it's hard to tale), I just think people here have been through one to many of these kind of threads that start off inocent but turn into something ugly, something the original poster never intended it to.

However, reading this:

Anybody worry about empty / for sale homes in your area ?
You should
It does seem that you've come to a conclusion and that we should be worried.

Bottom line, people generalizing don't treat moving from city to city like purses.

You didn't start a thread seeking opinions?

When you see the newly built house, right next door to you sold after 8 months ... then the 2nd owner puts it up for sale a year later ... along with many other homes for sale in a newly built neighborhood ... 3 or 4 homes empty ... well, I thought i'd ask some questions

I was directing the question to the transplants ... not to any possible angry native texans
