I've talked about Royal Ridge before...now the express-news is.

Royal Ridge subdivision just keeps on growing and could soon hit about 950 homes, according to former City Councilman David Carpenter.
He has lived in the Northeast Side subdivision since 1988 and currently holds the job of president of the Royal Ridge Neighborhood Association, an umbrella group that works with smaller homeowner associations representing residencies ranging from patio homes to traditional single-family housing.

Default Royal Ridge, Texas

Very interesting article on Royal Ridge. Can anyone living out there tell me about it? Noisy, busy? Do people light up fireworks on July 4th, Jan 1st, etc.. Are there any flooding problems out there? Was anyone living there during 1998 and 2004 when we had the really bad floods? Any problems out there? Are there any all-electric neighborhoods out there? I know that gas and electric houses are more efficient, but I just don't like gas at all.
Thanks!

It's a pretty quiet area. It didn't flood during 98 or 04. You might find an all-electric house, but like the rest of San Antonio it's doubtful.

There are some all electric garden homes on Royal Ridge by Bridle Bit Custom Homes, a small local builder with a good reputation. They're new homes, well built, nice.
