I live in the Woller Creek subdivision, behind the new Igo Library. We're supposed to have a HOA meeting about re-zoning for some of the land on Hausman (between Babcock & 1604). I think It mentioned something about apartment complexes.

The apartments are being built a little further down Hausman beside the new library.

It is going to be a Walgreens. The shell of the building is up. I can't imagine how traffic at the Babcock/Hausman intersection is going to be once other new developments move in... it is already a nightmare.

Exclamation Traffic to get much worse.

Yep, it's a Walgreens. I just hope they plan for the additional traffic and those who inevitably will attempt to cross the Walgreens parking lot from southbound Babcock to eastbound Hausman (you know who you are!)

If only they would move the fire hydrant that has prevented a turn lane being put in on southbound Babcock. This would greatly improve the flow of southbound traffic but it's probably a safety factor since I can envision someone running a red light and t-boning a vehicle turning right.

We can sometimes turn onto Hausman by squeezing between the cars waiting at the light and the hydrant but if there are any trucks, it get's to be a tight squeeze (and of course, there are those that will either inadvertantly or purposefully shift over to block the turning cars! Argh!)

I've had that plan since they started construction.

I've considered that plan also as I've driven by the construction site... but I already decided I will not do it. Parking lots are dangerous enough without my impatience cutting through them.

There will be a delayed opening due to drainage issues.

Drainage weighs on city
