Like many of you out there, I to am ashamed to admit I am a Time Warner Customer (it is the only carrier my apartment will let me have or Id be an AT&T Uverse customer in a heartbeat). Anyways, I am saddened to hear about the KSAT 12 disagreement and wonder... TWC has me locked in to a "price lock gaurantee" aka a two-year contract. Now, if I break this "price lock gaurantee," again, a contract, I pay a steep fine around $150. What happens to them? They broke my contract when they stopped offering me the service I signed up for. Any legal grounds here or any leg to stand on to be let go of the "price lock gaurantee?"

I appreciate the feedback.

I don't know. I think someone in the other thread said they were going to fight getting out of their contract. I wonder if we get Grande in our area. I think they are only in certain areas. I'm just tired of this bs with them.

Move somewhere that doesn't have TWC service and that should get you out of the contract.
BTW, TWC isn't bad at all and I get a better price than I would with at&t plus have MUCH faster internet and pretty much zero service problems. Most people I know that switched to at&t switched back pretty quick because of all the problems. They seem to follow the MS model of product development. Make something that sorta works and let the customers actually pay you to beta test and discover all the flaws..

Unfortunately I just bought a house in San Antonio (close in a week), so I cannot move somewhere TWC isnt. It would be an option though!

Im not complaining about the service, it has been great. I just dont like the "price lock gaurantee" for two years... yes two, and every time I called to renew my service I got a different package deal... each one better than the previous. My first option was a 5 year "price lock gurantee." Regardless though, they told me I could not continue on with my service without locking into a contract and since my apartment didnt allow any other provider I had no option (except to not have cable or internet).

well, you have them there. They can't force you to do it and you should call them back and complain about the person telling you a lie. I have noticed they have completely different deals each time you call, but I've never had anyone say I HAD to get a multi-year deal. That's probably because they know they can't do it. good luck

I am curious...I have TWC cable, phone, and Roadrunner and pay about $130 a month. I have a friend who has the same three items and pays less that $100...

Now I'm curious...am I getting a lousy deal? Anyone else paying less than $120 for a similar package?

We pay $105 for cable and wireless internet. We called about 6 months ago when our bill got jacked up to $180 for those same 2 services. They gave us the $105 as the "price lock" and we have that for at least 2 years.

I have said it in other posts, Get U-Verse! I have had it for two years (nearly) and will not switch back. I had problems early on, like others, but they have all been corrected. The service is very good now.
