We just got home from the Cameo Theater and on the way saw the "Coming soon IHOP" sign attached to the closed Village Inn near the BWW and Crakerbarrel...guess they are moving into that old location. Yea!

Wow, that is close to the 410/Marbach IHOP. I hope they know what they are doing, seems like they are flooding this side of town.

That Marbach IHOP mostly serves Lackland, especially the families visiting recruits. I haven't ever seen it not packed, so I'm sure they have a large enough customer base to build another one in the same vicinity

Both I-HOP & Jim's are ridiculously overpriced. To walk out of either with a $50 bill for two folks is crazy. I can go to a nice restaurant for the same price, and have wait service that actually gives a damn.

I think they charge like $4.00 for beer. And the waffles are really expensive.

Last time I was there with my wife we walked out with an under $20 bill and the service was outstanding. I think the $30 in beer must've skewed someone's perception..

Old news at this point, but the former Village Inn on FM 78 @ Rittiman/Foster is also becoming an IHOP. Looks like it's very close to opening.
