Default Where to find Homecoming dresses - besides Dept. Stores?

I will be attempting to find a Homecoming dress for my daughter this weekend, and I have looked on all the major Dept. Store websites. We will still be looking to see what they have at Macy's, Dillard's etc., but I'd like some ideas of other places we could look.

Now - another concern I have is that I want a modest dress, (and so does she!) She's tall, so most mini-dresses are way too short. I think I will end up having to get the halter or tank top - but just add a sweater or jacket to make it work for us.

So any other places to look? Oh - and to make it even harder - I don't want to spend a ton of money. $50-$100 maybe? It's semi-formal, and she's not a glitzy glam girl.

Try Kohl's also--they are moderately priced and usually have a cute selection.

I was just looking around on the JC Penney website and they have some cute modest dresses that are on sale. Most are marked down way under $100.

My daughter found a beautiful one at one of the smaller stores in Ingram Mall (Melrose, I think, or DEB). When we went last weekend, the store was filled with girls trying on dresses, and they seem to have a good selection. (She found 3 she liked; in the other stores, not even one).

My daughter found a Ruby Rox dress at Ross for $25 . I was so glad that I didn't have to spend $80 plus. She also got Nina shoes for $25. I was a happy camper .
She didn't think we would find one there but I told her to just give it a try. We went to the new Ross at AR shopping center and we were very surprised.

Give them a try before you go and spend a lot of money. It is worth checking out.

I had totally forgot about Ross and Marshall's - so that is where I was planning on going. But first store at the Mall (JC Penney) we found a great one! Good thing I don't have a very picky daughter. It was $39.99 too.

A Ruby Rox for $25? Awesome! I might run by Ross or Marshall to see if there is something she likes better, but it was fairly painless - I expected to shop all day today and tomorrow!

I thought the exact same thing. I was really shocked when I found the dress and shoes at Ross (my first stop). Luckily I have a "not so picky" daughter too .

I forgot to warn you....... If you go to Ross at Alamo Ranch watch out for the crazy drivers . I was driving along the front of the buildings and I stopped to let a pedestrian cross and the car behind me tried to pass me . People are just nuts!!
