That would be quite possibly the most original, humorous, and intellectual idea for a costume ever! How refreshing to come up with something besides Bush as Hitler or Dick Cheney with a shotgun. Your friend is simply brilliant.

There is one advertised in the new Current. It's called Fantasy Costumes & Lingerie. (Halloween Superstore) It's at 955 Pleasanton Rd. #105, phone number is 210-927-1771. Hours are M-F noon to 7PM, Sat 11AM-5PM and Sundays noon until 5PM. I'm posting all of that because they don't appear to have a website. I don't think you are going to find any kids' costumes there. No, doesn't look like there will be any little pumpkin costumes, or Sponge Bob.

I believe the store you are referencing on Rector behind NSM was Halloween Express and they don't have any stores in the SA area per their website. But thanks for the Halloween Costume Warehouse mention, I'm going to try there!!

This is the type of thread that needs to be updated annually, because many of these stores are only open during the season, and might not re-open in the same location the next year even if they do open again. And there is no new information since 2008 not counting the prior post to this one. But as of October 2012 there is a store at Isom and San Pedro next to Half Price Books. I also saw another one that just opened (somewhere on the northside). It was in a surprising location, but I can't remember where. Aaarrgghh!! And it's not on google maps either.

This year there's a Spirit store where Sportsman's Warehouse was at 151 and 410. there's also another Halloween store at Marbach and 410, in the shopping center with Big Lots.
