Info on Cibolo?
What can anyone tell me about Cibolo? Is it a good place for a family of four with two daughters, in 6th and 3rd grade, with about $200,000 in equity? What is the housing market like? Anyone have pics?
I've GOT to get out of California! The pace of life is just way too fast. I'm looking for small town, friendly feel. (Plus close to the Spurs is a PLUS!)
This the place? Or should I look around more?

Cibolo is a great place, its about 20 minutes from downtown san antonio and 15 minutes from new braunfels.Lots of activitys of the family around the area and 15 minutes from the sbc center where the spurs play.I live in new braunfels, aobut 12 miles north of cibolo.
I did most of the pluming work for all the house's in Cibolo.Look at ryland homes, pulte homes,kb homes. There are alot of house's being built in that area right now, or you can look for a privet seller. 200K will buy you alot in san antonio. You can get a really nice house here for that kind of cash.I paid 146k for a 4000 sq. ft home in new braunfels.
CIbolo is very kid friendly, I have twin daughters that have friends in that area cibolo/shertz.ITs very clean and upper middle class.
you may want to look into where i live "New braunfels" its a very place and has alot of activitys, including the #1 waterpark in america named by the travel channel.ANd that will put you aobut 30 minutes from the spurs sbc center <now the at&t center>

Cibolo is a fast growing area in far northeast San Antonio.
Te towns population has tripled in the last 4 years and a new high school (Steele) opened last year.

Combine Cibolo with Schertz and you get the whole package. CNNMoney.com says Schertz was ranked #1; Nationwide it came in at #40. $200k will buy you a huge house in this area, new or pre-owned. You might also look at New Braunfels.

Love Cibolo
Cibolo is a GREAT town! Schertz (which is neighboring Cibolo and they share the school district) was rated on Forbes magazine as a top ten place to raise a family. Neighborhoods are nice, police are attentive, schools are wonderful. I highly recommend it. Just do your homework before buying a home. I am a Standard Pacific homeowner and I'm NOT happy. And I'm not the only one.

What is wrong with Standard Pacific
Why are you not happy with Standard Pacific? Is the whole subdivision unhappy? If so, which one is it?
Thanks

Cibolo/ Schertz area this area has it all. Taxes are moderate in Guadalupe County. The school system is growing. Two more in the construction or pre construction phase. Homes are right in your price range. Some neighborhoods have too narrow streets. Try the outer limits of the city for the country/city atmosphere. Many parks available, good animal control and adequate emergency services. The city of Cibolo has approx. 4000 homes at this time. May be 4050 by the time you read this. LOL, it's growing fast.

Did I mention, garbage service is tops. Two city clean ups Spring and Fall. Two pick ups a week. You can dispose of your large items at the city clean ups at designated locations at no charge. Some curb side can be arranged through City Hall.

How is Cibolo as far as crime? Being that it is so close to downtown, do you see problems in the future due to homeless/illegals starting to do crime in this area? If not, what will make it stay safe? Also, because the homes are so reasonable as far as cost, will it 'attract lower income/trashy people'? (I am not saying all low income people are dirty- I think you know what I mean)
