I am moving to San Antonio next week from Indianapolis. I'm a Michigan alum and am wondering if there are any fellow alums out there. Also, is there a bar where Wolverine fans gather to watch the games?

I belonged to another Big Ten school's alumni association for a while, and I remember that their local chapter had game-watching parties at a local hotel.

It looks like this chapter in Austin is the nearest chapter of the Umich alumni association. They could probably point you to a local place for game-watching parties.

BTW, you have my sympathy on this football season. This has to be a rough one for fans accustomed to the view from the top of the polls and the standings.

My 9yod is wearing a Blue M t-shirt to school today!! Just spent the past 6 days with two Michigan alumni, my 2 sisters-in-law. So my little girls are proudly wearing their Michigan t's to school today to show off! (OH, but no, the aunties live in DC, not SA. Sorry.)

I'm from Ann Arbor, but went to EMU and have been a Buckeye fan for about 30 years

I don't see why anyone would want to watch U of M football this season. Toledo?? come on now, that's awful

Heh, I don't watch football anyway, and my sisters-in-law (while both very athletic) went to Michigan for PhD's, not football.

My father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all born in Ypsi. Both of my parents and 2 of my grandparents went to EMU, but they are/were all Michigan football fans. Tough year so far ...

But I went to Florida, so I can't complain.
