Sometimes it's about the opportunity, not necessarily the value. The thieves can sort that out later.
Sucks to hear that your car got broken into.

Does your car have an alarm?, this should help a bit keep intruders away, doesn't mean it will stop them but they may skip your car next time if they know your car has this security measure.

This really steams me up! I just had a friend who got her car broken into. They stole $7. Yep, $7 and caused over $1800 worth of damage to her car. People must be really desperate these days.

I agree totally . My husbands driver's door doesn't lock so we have learned to not leave anything in the truck. He carpools to work and sure enough he gets to the park-n-ride one day and the driver's lock is messed up where some thug stuck a screw driver in it to open the door .
HHEEELLLOOOOOOO, THE DOOR WASN'T EVEN LOCKED!!! Idiots!!! Luckily, nothing was stolen.
Thanks for the heads up about AR shopping center. I go there a lot.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know those text books are expensive, JERKS!!!!
I drive a truck also (not that it really matters, theives don't care), I will make sure that I keep everything out of sight. A friend of mine got his truck stolen (also an F150) from the strip center at Culebra/1604 (across from AR) by Walmart. They never recovered the truck. His wife's purse was in it with credit cards and check book, it was a nightmare for them.

My Mustang was broken into at the Golden Corral by Bandera and 1604. We weren't there more than an hour. Also used a screw driver in the lock. Moderator cut: profanity

Reason: Per ToS, no profanity permitted... even when it may be warranted! ;)

You might remember me telling you all this a few weeks ago. My husbands F-150 was broken into. Took my purse, that I didn't know was in there, GPS, tools, camera, computer equip. Punched in the lock with a screwdriver and YES, he has an alarm! I was told by a police officer that these crooks are so professional they know how to work around everything! They evidently used some electronic card reader and were able to breach my ATM without even a false attempt! Makes me sick for anyone out there who experiences this!
