Haha! Good luck with that. They want you in there so they can really "sell" the place to you.
You may get a discount through your employer or your health insurance, so it's probably just as well that you go in and talk to someone anyway. Just be firm! Well, I guess if you're firm, you probably already belong to a gym, but be ready to say no!

They are always running "deals" so I'm not sure how accurate my information will be. Ours ran about $126 a month. Then they tack on taxes and everything too. We paid for it up front and also wanted to be able to use ANY Spectrum in the city. They have different options regarding your membership. I think the best thing to do is go talk to someone so that you can get better information. Hope this helps! If you have any specific info, let me know!

I used to belong to 24Hr Fitness before LTF opened. What I like better about LTF is that there is stuff for the kids to do, and like I said $5 a month. At 24 I had to pay $3 per kid per 2 HOURs!
ABout the sales pitch: LOL I know, once they get your name they won't leave you alone until they get your money!

We looked at both Lifetime and Spectrum and chose the one closer to home, simply because if I had to fight traffic I wasn't going to go. Been with Spectrum about 2 months and LOVE it. Also paid upfront and can use all the facilities in town (if I want to work out with a friend in another area of town it's great!). Didn't mentally retain the kids club info as it wasn't needed... but they'll negotiate I'm sure! Regardless of where you choose, GO and ENJOY, it will make you a better/healthier/stronger woman, mother and wife.

You should try Fitness19. It's on 1604 before Braun...forgot the name of that road...just before Braun anyway and it's off to the left. There's a new strip mall thing in there. You'll only drive 15 - 20 minutes and it's not pricey at all. They do have child care. They have a website too. It's a national chain.

I, too, am a loyal member of Spectrum (love it). My husband and I love to workout there, and we chose to do the membership where you can use any Spectrum in town. You don't have to do that, but if you do, it will be priced higher than just a membership at one Spectrum (which is just as good). My husband liked this type because he works all over town and is able to use whichever gym. I like Spectrum because they maintain their equipment and facility pretty well which explains the higher cost. My kids go to the kids club, and they are eligible to go for up to 2 hours a day. I kind of factor that in when I think of what I am saving on babysitting costs. They are safe at the kids club, they get to know the people who work there, and they become comfortable and happy going there. If you go in person , you can get a tour with one of the sales people. Ours was with Keith at Rogers Ranch. He was and always is pretty level headed, so I did not find him pushy in any way. Hope that helps.

We are members of Spectrum and we love it. Right now we pay about 58$ a month, but the childcare is included. We are looking at possibly signing up over at the 1604/bitters location because our neighbors are members there and they love it. They said its a little more expensive than what we are paying now, but apparently its beautiful. Im not sure how much that one costs, but over all we have been really happy with everything!
