Default Lifetime Fitness?

When we move we're thinking of transferring our membership to the one at The Rim. Is traffic on 1604 that bad that it would take forever to get up there if we moved somewhere around Potranco/1604 or roundabouts?

I can't imagine ANYTHING worse than trying to go to a gym along the route you mention! Only if you are a die-hard workout buff that nothing will stop you from a workout would that be a good idea, imho!!
I'm no gym rat, so I can't recommend any nearby, but there's gotta be something closer to Potranco/1604 than the Rim!

I live off Potranco and can't remember the last time I went north of Culebra via 1604 for anything other than a trip out of town! It's just not worth the headache to me.

I was afraid someone would say that?

Why in the world did they build 2 so close to each other? How asinine.

I live off of Potranco/1604 and work by The Rim. Traffic is horrible along most of that route. I'd reconsider...

We live at Potranco/1604 and we belong to Spectrum. We love it. There is one at Guilbeau and Tezel (closer, older, but smaller gym) and one at Bandera (farther, newer, and larger gym). We go to both depending on what we want to do. They are supposed to build a new, really nice Spectrum at Potranco/151 in the near future. Here's hoping! There are other gyms, but that one has child care and we need that. If you don't need that child care, they have an anytime fitness on Potranco, I've never been there so can't tell you what it's like.

Oh, and as for driving to the Rim, NO WAY! I wouldn't even attempt it, the traffic is a nightmare especially before and after work hours!

You won't go if it's that far. I know that I stopped going to the one at 281 because of all the traffic. We are considering the Spectrum at 281/Evans since it's only 2 stoplights away and we avoid highways to get there. I know Lifetime is great, and I wouldn't be surprised if they put in an Alamo Ranch location! But you have to think if you will really use it

Thanks everyone that's good to know, although I am disappointed.

Tell me about Spectrum. AT Lifetime kids are $5 A MONTH, and they get to use the basketball courts rockclimbing wall, pool, and they have classes for kids. Please tell me Spectrum is like that. Please...

I guess on the other hand, my kids will be in school when we move there, so I can just go in the morning while they are away. Is there a website?

Thank you for the link! Can anyone tell me the monthly fees, including kids charges?

The website wants me to enter my info to have some one "contact me" for more info. I don't want to be hounded by them yet until I know more!
