Where can you recycle plastic grocery bags on the Far West side of town? Can you recycle all bags from all stores (target, walmart, HEB)? Thanks for any info!

Don't they still have the bins at HEB where you can put your used bags for recycling?

yes. I just keep forgetting to take mine. I must have a ton. I ask for paper again at HEB when I can remember to remember.

If you have recycling pick up by the city, just put them in your recycle bin.

Most plastic shopping bags I've seen (Target, WalMart, CVS, HEB) are all recycle-able and can be tossed in any of the bins outside the stores. OUr HEB plus has a container at the "exit" side of the store.
They don't reuse them locally - they send them to a recycle center that melts 'em down. There should be a symbol on the seam of the bag somewhere...

I'm trying to remember to put my reuseable bag in my car but forget about it! I need to get in the habit of using it more. I'm trying!

I live in an apartment complex and I'm trying to recycle my plastic bottles and such. Any suggestions where I could go drop them off?

Thx!

school parking lots have recycling bins, also you could call 311 and ask.

Almost all of the recycling receptacles that I have seen at the schools are for paper. Some schools have a separate receptacle for aluminum cans. Please don't put plastic or glass in the bins that are meant for paper.

If anyone knows of a school parking lot with a receptacle for plastic, let me know. I don't have automated recycling yet and I sometimes have overflow. I would love for a school to profit from my plastic recycling.

Again, if you live in an apartment and/or don't have curbside recycling, you can take your plastic bags to HEB.
