You really have to appreciate the scenery for that in order to make a trip there. Personally I've always preferred parks inside San Antonio, like Friedrich Park or Eisenhower Park.

Which car club KY Filly? The Austin Miata's and S2000's were there on Saturday.'

8:30 AM would've been a Much better time to arrive, but a certain child not only insists on tagging along, but is also a late riser. One day I won't have to deal with that anymore, but that's a whole 'nother story..

I'll throw in a picture or two also. First one is proof that I made it to the top

SSR Fanatics. Actually the side trip to Lost Maples was an afterthought; i.e. "hey let's take a cruise over that way on our way home" so-to-speak. Since this is my first "fall" in SA, we had no idea the popularity of the place though. Had we know we could have arrived earlier or, knowing that we would get there mid day, skipped it all together. We REALLY enjoyed a beautiful ride through the beautiful hill country from Fredricksburg though.

I saw a sweet yellow SSR in Utopia when I was leaving. There was also a group of exotic cars on the first highway you cross after leaving Lost Maples. I barely got a glimpse of them, but the first one was a black Lambo and quite a few of the others appeared to be Ferrari's. Several people pulled over and turned around, but I wanted to get out of there so we could get home and take a shower. The super dry weather had all of us covered in dust and dirt.

I'm an old adult and I made it out alive. We only did the .8 round trip, but we had some 60-somethings with us. Take water and comfortable hiking shoes and you should be just fine.
