Which are the industries with the largest employment in SA?
My wife and I are wondering which are the top industries that employ SA. I work in Healthcare and my wife in Banking. She works for Chase and will be transfered, so she's good.
Does Chase Bank have a large presence in SA?
I remember the Medical Center right of Fredericksburg Rd. Is that the only one? Are they any Non-For-Profit type clinics in the downtown area? Hospitals? Are employment opportunities in the medical field hard to come by? Thanks!

healthcare, financial, are 2 of our biggests.
i don't know about non-profit clinics, i'm sure there are some...
the want ads seem FULL of healthcare related jobs.
i am in a healthcare related job also, but clerical (claims processing, basically).
i've been job hunting lately, and even in clerical related stuff, i've noticed that almost ALL the jobs i've come across have either been banking/financial, or health care.
So it looks like y'all are good to go!

It depends on the area of healthcare your in. Nurses, PT and OT are in huge demand. Support services are in demand as the healthcare demands increase.
Downtown there is Santa Rosa Hospital(not for profit), Baptist and Methodist are now for profit. I'm pretty sure, but they are also downtown.
Southside has Southwest General that is expanding rapidly and doing a good job of it.
In general, I would say you have nothing to worry about. Just culture shock.

Lol. Thanks ShaneSA and fierce_flawless. I've lived in SA in the early 90s. Maybe things have changed, but I think I'll get use to it. As far has employment, that was very good news. Thanks again.
