Smile Finding a job from out of state?

I'm relocating from MI, of my own free will, no job promises, and I'd like to know if anyone has been able to successfully find a job from out of state?

I've looked online at jobs listed with WAOI and the newspaper, but I didn't know how easy it would be.

I'm a high school graduate, and have been in accounting, customer service, and most recently; managing a pool store.

I'm planning a visit to SA at the end of July (I guess I'll get a true taste of the heat!) and I'd like to meet with prospective employers.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions? Would I be wise to look at using a headhunter?

Thanks so much!

that's a tough one. If possible and your moving to Sa anyway, save up some living money and make the move, find a cheap apartment with a short lease and look for a job.
The kind of positions your talking about don;t generally hire from afar and keep a job open until you get here.
Those kind of jobs are here. Maybe you'll find one in July, but think about you will need to start right away or within 2 weeks of finding it.

You might want to try calling temp agency like "Spherion" out here to see what kind of jobs that may be able to put you on to.
