LOL I had a friend from Maine that had pronounciation issues. In addition to many other already mentioned, here were some more of hers:
La Villita: "La VEE EE ta", not "La VILL i ta"
Navarro: "Nah VAR oh", not "NAV a Roe"
Martinez: "Mar TEEN ez", not "MAR tin ez" (although I've heard those from CA use this pronounciation)
San Pedro: "San PED dro:, not "San PEEED dro" (I've heard CA folks say it the latter way)
Nogalitos: "NOG a LEE tez", not "Nog GOL li toes"
Probandt: "PRO bant", not "Pro been ant"
Flores: "FLOR ez", not "FLOORS"
LOL She finally got the swing of things!

Coming to San Antonio and having to learn to pronounce "Blanco" incorrectly was kind of like what I would imagine it would be like to move to France knowing how to say "Bonjour" and being corrected on your first day in Paris as they tell you, "No, it's BAHN-jr." It was a total trip.

Culebra= cu lay bra
H E B= H E B not heb
Putting the S in the middle of New Braunfels rather than at the end where it belongs is like nails on a chalkboard to me--and we have local newscasters that do it!
Schlitterbahn= shlee ter bon
Wurzbach or Harry Wurzbach= werz bock
Taco= taw co, not tack o like my Canadian relatives like to say!

I've heard a few people pronounce it "Hebner" as well.

Oh, I'll throw in a few:
Pecan: peh-CAHN
If you happen to travel up 35 toward Austin..
Niederwald: NEE-der-WALD (although this isn't technically how it's supposed to be pronounced )
Most I know (self included) pronounce Nacogdoches "NAC-o-DO-ches".
Perrin-Beitel: PEAR-in BYE-tle

LOL! I've heard it both ways, but yours is more proper!
Here's a few more:
Ramirez: "Rah MEER rez", not "RAM er REZ"
Shavano: "SHAV ah noe", not "Sha VAN o"
DeZavala: "Days Zah VAH La", not "DEE Zah Valla" or "Dee ZAV a la"
The "TACK-O" one still has me laughing. Nothing screams "Not from SA" more than ordering "En CHILL ee dahs" or "QWA-sah dill ahs" to go with your "TACK-Os"!! OH! and add some "GUACK a MOLE" to that, too!
I remember getting calls from one of our northern offices regarding shipping items to "SEQUIN", TX...I guess they thought that the proper spelling was actually a typo!
