Just bought a house in The Hills at Sonoma Ranch... Today I called AT&T but was told U-verse is not yet available at my address. Has anybody in Sonoma Ranch currently having this service?

Trust me, when UVerse becomes available for your address, you will receive an endless stream of marketing phone calls and mailers from AT&T. There was a stretch where I was hearing from them 3x a week... no joke.

They're not holding out on you. If they say it's not available, it's not available. AT&T desperately wants as many subscribers as possible to have UVerse.

I just found out that I am available for U-Verse now in my area in SR. I have done alot of research online about different alternatives to TWC and U-Verse seems to be a much better choice. I understand that people with bad experiences write about them more than people with positive ones. I have heard that HD video quality has been an issue in places for various reasons and that really is my only concern. I get a strong and clear HD signal on all 3 of my TVs, but I am tired of the very poor DVRs, terrible menus and options, lack of HD channels, lagging internet....Please share your experiences with U-Verse in the Sonoma Ranch area.

Thanks

I have Uverse I can offer feedback however I do not live in the SR neighborhood...compared to other cable providers Uverse to me is the most user friendly and up to date...I had Time Warner and Direct TV before Uverse was available in my area and once I switched to Uverse it was a total different ballgame....the HD Channels are plenty and I like the fact that you can record 4 shows at once and watch recordings in everyroom of the home...the way I describe Uverse compared to other cable providers is simple...once you have Uverse other providers seems like they are in the dinosaur era

We don't live in SR, but...we have had UVerse (almost since it first came out), since Aug 2006. Initially, it was buggy, frequently requiring reboots. Now we have total home DVR (can watch a program recorded on DVR on any unit in house), 4 total steams (2 HD). We have the basic internet (1.5) which is fine for us.

Has been quite reliable since the set top box changeout of two years ago. We do NOT miss TWC. We were ready to go back to Dish when UVerse came out). Our price has stayed the same since install. (U200 plus HD and broadband express $94/mo (104 with taxes and fees) on three settop boxes (tv's) and one gateway (at computer))

Just my 2 cents

Thanks everyone. I ordered today and am set for install in a week. I am really looking forward to it. I am really into home theater, audio and video, so hopefully I will get a strong signal and won't be disappointed. I did go the that AT&T store at the Rim, and they only have a $300 rebate in the stores, the $400 is online only, just FYI. I hope everything is delivered to my expectations, I am really anxious to leave TWC and their ancient programming options in the dust.
