The Rose Shop on San Pedro.....seriously. They are a wonderful shop for any floral needs, but specialize in exquisite roses.

It's cheaper to just be nice.

I saw the most beautiful sunflowers at HEB this morning! They were a really vibrant orange. I'm not really into roses like most women.

My family has always used The Flower Basket off Military, close to Lackland. I believe they have a 2nd location but I am unsure where it is.

The last time I used them was over the summer. They made the flowers for my wedding and they came out very beautiful, not too mention affordable.

you must not be in that much trouble if you aren't willing to drive to san pedro --- lol!!!

sapphire i am with you, i am not big into roses either --- i would much rather have a spring bouquet, and they last longer ---

have you considered looking at sam's --- they have a great price for 2 doz. roses --- one valentine's day my dh went there and picked up some roses with other flowers and brought them home, found a vase, arranged them himself and then delivered them to me in person at USAA --- was it a professional arrangement? no --- was it as expensive? no --- but i promise you i was the most envied person at work because my dh did all of it himself instead of just picking up the phone and calling in the order ---

Well...you could CALL and have THEM delivered. I can see why you're in hot water if you cant drive a few extra miles for that "special" rose! Not sure one will be enough...try about three dozen and don't show your face. Better yet....have them delivered to her at work. Geez....a man after any woman's heart!

Sapphire and MrsTC....I'm not a rose fan either....but I wouldn't turn up my nose at them. I received the most beautiful miniature orchid arrangement for my birthday. They lasted almost three weeks.

oh i totally agree, i don't turn up my nose at roses either, after all, it is the thought that counts, regardless of the flower --- i just prefer the spring bouquets because i find them prettier and again, they last sooo long...

I got an orchid for my birthday, and it lasted for over two months. I adore roses, but the orchid really gave bang for the buck.

I ditto the Rose Shop rec. And, they deliver.
