Who were the original voiceover announcers for KSAT Tv 12 from the 70's and 80's with the announcer saying "KSAT Television San Antonio, This is 12!" during its early years?!

I remember some TV personalities, but I couldn't tell you which station they were on.

All I know is....Marilyn Moritz and Jesse Degollado have been at that station since dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Retire already! and let some fresh young ambitious people start their tv careers.

The only one I remember is Jim Dawson doing the weather. He always had a cartoon he drew.

I think you are thinking of Bill Cudubac. He did the orginal Good morning San Antonio show and did voice overs in 70's 80's early 90's. Last I heard he is 90 something years old and still kicking.

The main one back in those days would have been Ken Carter.

Tom Ellis from 12 Star Final was the first one I remember. I think there was another thread about these once before. I think Ken Carter replaced him. Then Ken Carter started wearing Clark Kent glasses.

They just had Jim Dawson passed away yesterday at 91...they showed a lot of his cartoons that he drew himself everyday. You dont find that kind of dedication anymore.

Jim was one of a kind. He shared his profession with a wit and wisdom that has never been seen since his retirement. God bless and keep you Jim.
