Has anyone attended a wedding and/or reception at the Koehler Pavilion at Brackenridge Park? My fiance and I are looking for some inexpensive options that will allow for alcohol and it look like it might be a good option. But those that have had an event there, what sort of hurdles did you come up against. Attended an event? What did you think? We are fairly non traditional and I dont need a string quartet and an ice sculpture.

So, experiences?

Also...anyone have photos of the pavilion? I can't find a single one.

I've been to something at the Koehler Pavilion many years ago. They still had paddle boats next to it back then!! It's just a wide open pavilion covered. Alcohol used to be a no no in the Park ..not sure nowadays! The "ice sculpture" would be short lived here!! Good Luck!! Call the Park or go check it out!!

I'm going to try and convince the fiance to take me tomorrow to look at it.

and yes, they do allow for alcohol there (I couldn't imagine surviving my wedding day without it) now.
