Bingo! Personal responsibility is key. The only people that should be sued are the people that did this. How many Wal- Marts all over the country had no problems with their crowds?

They should hold almost every customer there accountable, but that is unfortunately going to be virtually impossible. Besides, I don't think the family of the victim would be able to get much out of them. The main issue with this is the people at the front weren't actually the responsible ones. From the videos I've seen and the news reports I've read, it was the people behind them that were pushing them in. That's where the store should step in and stop the whole thing. There's no federal law that states they have to open at a specific time, but there is plenty of legal examples that clearly state these stores need to exercise reasonable caution to insure their customer's safety.
I am a huge proponent of personal responsibility, but I am also a realist. Besides, the manager of the store also had a personal responsibility to insure the store was safe. The store even issued a statement a few hours later claiming safety is always their primary interest. They basically hung themselves prior to anyone even filing a lawsuit if you ask me..

But keeping with that Wal-Mart has thousands of stores across the country that had no problems what so ever. If they had the same staffing at stores similar in size that should be enough. Should Toy'R'Us be responsible for the trauma to all the kids that watched as those tow animals killed eachother?
On a final note why is a criminal case here not enough? People die all the time and thier familes do not recieve money. Sorry if they sue which they will and they will win because our cival law in this country is a joke Wal-Mart shoppers will be the ones paying for it not the company.

meh, we'll leave it at that and everyone can go out day after Black Friday shopping. The economy needs us and we all could use a few new, expensive toys

I have found that most seem to fit. Once in a while I get a set that doesn't. All the ones I have bought at either Kohls or BedBath and Beyond have always fit.

Having dealt with the king bed in CA, check out Home Goods. I also had Penneys order some (with free shipping to house) for me because Kings were not carried in store, the sales girl said they could do that because they were supposed to be 'in stock'. Costco usually has free shipping on sets too!

Excellent point Sapphire. Clearly no one is going to want to assume any sort of responsibility for what happened. The stampeders will blame Walmart and Walmart will blame the stampeders. The shoppers are human beings first and foremost, with brains who clearly lost any sense of control. It doesnt matter that store clerks were smiling because the event clearly was meant to be something to be happy about, it was the PEOPLE who came to shop who turned it into something very, very ugly. The store shouldnt have to hand out numbers and line everyone up single file as if they are in second grade lining up for recess. Perhaps this kind of thing is what happens when you ASSUME people can think and take care of themselves.

We have a cali king and I am sure that I have gotten reg king sheets in the past without any problem.
The last sheets I got were from JC Penneys and they were actually kind of big but I can't remember for sure what size they were.
