We are also selling half price bottles of wine on sundays $200 and under. Also please don't be afraid to ask for special thing from our restaurant because we will accommodate you, for example a guest once wanted to have burgers as a feature, so chef baked fresh buns, made gourmet sauces and ground up steak to make the meat. IF you want a wine dinner, you can let us know a price range per guest and we can make it happen. just give us a little notice. Also, can I ask an honest question, how does everyone feel about tipping about what is fair and tipping on wine? I ask because I think sometimes people don't realize that we tip out based on sales of both food and wine and I am certain that many many restaurants do this so 20% easily becomes %14 and at the end of the night it can mean lousy money.
As a big steak fan, I can tell you I think Kirby's Rocks. I've eaten several times at the location here, always getting a perfectly medium rare bone-in ribeye, and have also eaten the Kirby's-ownded Mickey Mantel's in Oklahoma City, where I tried the Veal Chop in wine and mushroom sauce (also available here) and it was superb.

I had my wife take to Kirby's for my birthday here. And will do so next year! On average, though, we eat there every two months.

(And DSM, having once worked in the service industry, I alway tip 20% if service is competant and easily more when I feel my wait person is going the extra mile. The only time I will tip less is when my service takes too long to respond to requests, or worse, serves me a hot entree and then takes several minutes to respond to a request while my food is cooling. Nothing pi$$es me off more than that!)

410 location of which restaurant? There were many restaurants discussed above your post.

Got it now. I didn't see that his post had a different title.

I believe that there is a real estate sign (REOC?) in front.

Wow, I posted this 3 months ago and still I hear once a week that all of these same places are closing. Yet I drive past them all on 1604 at least 5 days a week and see that they are not. We even got a french brasserie! I love having all these restaurants around!
We love Kirby's as well and you're right on with the ribeye!

With our schedules, my family eats out a lot (more than we probably should, but that's not the point here). I have been disappointed since moving to SA that there are so many chain restuarants and so few unique, stand-alones. I dread when the best-of lists are published or posted because chain restruarant and fast food joints often fill the top ranks (in my mind, they shouldn't even rate). We need more than chain brands and the Riverwalk 's touristy-junk, which are pricey because of location, surely not quality. I am thrilled that we are starting to get some new options in the SA area and that REAL chefs and restarateurs are becoming more willing to give us a chance. 'Keep em coming. If you build it, we will come.

Its web site is offline. That's not a good sign. What do you hear?
