Question Any restaurant's in SA have eggnog??

My boyfriend is from the New Jersey/New York area, is stationed here and has been trying to find any places that might carry eggnog. Not the ones they sell at the store, but with liquor lol I'm guessing places over there have eggnog during the holidays? We were in downtown last night during the Christmas river parade and he was trying to look for places but none had any, nor did anyone know when he asked. Any help? Thanks in advanced.

Tell him they sell bottles of it in the class 6 on Lackland. I've never actually tasted it because I don't like egg nog, but it's an alcoholic egg nog. He could also buy some egg nog in the store and add some bourbon to it, or whatever type of alcohol he usually adds. I would think something like Southern Comfort would be good, although I haven't been able to even smell that stuff since an incident in 1985..

All local liquor stores should be carrying it by now...it IS that time of the season!

Saw plain old pack on 5 lbs a glass eggnog at HEB....LOVE the stuff...but have to steer clear of it.

FYI! For those of you who have some dairy "issues" I saw, at HEB, that Silk Soy milk is now making eggnog. There's another brand too, but I can't remember what it was. I only drink Silk...it just tasts better. I don't do the nog, but wanted to throw that out there!

Ooooh, LOVE eggnog....
I should probably share my recipe with you for "Orange and Eggnog Scrambled Eggs"..... concocted when I had teeny bit of eggnog left, not enough to bother pouring into a regular glass and not wanting to throw it away.....

I don't have measures etc.... I throw stuff together that sound good, sound right together, and I don't measure....
just a 'glob' of this, then a 'hunk' of that, etc etc...

For two eggs:
Scramble lightly in a measuring cup... throw in a 'healthy splash' of eggnog (I dunno, whatever looks and sounds right to you...)
Whip this lightly to blend it smoooth....
Add a 'nice glob' of Orange Marmalade'.... (I dunno, whatever looks and sounds right to you...)
Whip this lightly also to blend it smooth...
Throw in a 'tad' of vanilla extract... just a wee tiny tad.... stir briskly...
Add salt to taste... pepper IF YOU MUST...
Scramble/'fry' in butter, as you normally do your scrambled eggs...

Serve this on a split, toasted and buttered English Muffin.....
It also works VERY well to throw this all in a small blender jar, get it all frothy.....

Well, I mean, I do use recipes also that use exact measurements and I follow them, but when I'm 'concocting' or 'mixing up oddball leftovers, etc', I just throw stuff together that sounds right...

These are very very yummy....... a nice Brunch dish.....

OP has probably found eggnog by now but I figured I post just in case - yesterday saw alcoholic egg nog at the Liquor Max next to the new HEB Plus on 281 and Evans...

Happy Holidays everyone!
