Default Best kids soccer league in San Antonio?

We just moved to San Antonio from Georgia and we have two kids who are avid soccer players ages 10 and 11. Trying to find a quality soccer league (pref close to 78254 area) so we don't waste all the years we've invested in their soccer so far by ending up in a league that doesn't keep them building on the skills they've already aquired. Any suggestions?

If I'm not mistaken, there is a soccer league on Talley Road (near Culebra) and another one on 1560 (in your Zip Code).

Fantastic! Do you happen to know what their organizations are called so that I can find them in the phone book or online?

There is one by Culebra and FM 1560. I don't know the name but I'll check in the morning.

Hope they get better so they can contribute when they get to high school.

Alamo City Youth Soccer Organization http://www.acyso.org

My son has played out there for the last three years. By and large a very good organization.

When I was younger I played for the North East Youth Soccer Association. I know at that time it was probably the best league in San Antonio. NEYSO teams always finished in the top spots at all the major tournaments in the area. However, the poster above is correct in that ACYSO is a good organization and right in your zip code! If you are looking for something more intense there is always club soccer. Most of the people I know go to Austin to play club, so I am not sure what there is to offer here in San Antonio.

I coach soccer here in San Antonio. I coach for the Lions FC. My 91 boys team won Div. 1 and are going to the Nation Cup. I will be doing a training session Tuesday and Thursday of this week with a U10 and a U14 boys group from 5 to 6. I will do a private lesson from 4 to 5 on Tuesday with a couple of 9 year olds. It is located by the H-E-B at the Grissom, Tezel and Culebra intersection. Come check it out. It's in Northwest Crossings across from Fernandez Elementary School.
