It was kind of strange to wake up to 68 degrees this morning. (not a bad strange though, IMO)

I know, I've been eating quite a few popsicles lately and would rather be testing out my hot water dispenser with some hot powdered milk and graham crackers.

The cold front has moved through this afternoon around two.... and it's drying us out bigtime right now.
Here is the latest Water Vapor loop for the past 24 hours:
24 hour Weather Satellite Loop - NOAA\'s National Server
You'll notice there has been plenty of dry air infiltrating across South-Central Texas this afternoon, and then some moisture behind it.
The National Weather Service currently has rain chances at 40% for the San Antonio International Airport, but I wouldn't bank on it. If we see anything it would be in the form of mist, drizzle, and light sprinkles.... nothing wetting. We just simply don't have enough moisture in the ground or upper levels to support any kind of significant precipitation event.
As far as the type of precipitation that could fall, we are too warm for any frozen precipitation. Some pockets of the north Hill Country could see a brief changeover to sleet and freezing rain. In San Antonio proper, I don't really see us dropping below 40 tonight.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and possibly Saturday will be cool with highs in the 50s and 60s, with lows in the 30s and 40s. We'll warm up back into the 70s for the weekend and early next week.

what about the big Arctic front that just cleared Alaska? I was checking out Juneau's weather and they had a winter storm warning through this afternoon. I also read it's supposed to hit all the way to southern California.

Andy Thomas at MySA just twittered "NWS forecasts show slight potential for mixed snow/rain late tonight in Hill Country, with no accumulation. Can't rule out snowflakes in S.A. either although low is predicted to be about 37."
