That would be the PC thing to do....and no one gets hurt. How tragic.

Immoral I can deal with but I could not turn my back on suffering or destructiveness - and I dont.

I hope that nobody does.

This is the only country that allows for mood altering pharmacuticals to be advertised in television, why not legalize currently illegal substances so that law enforcment can have more control over the current drug situation?

Again, two willing partners. Prostitution (not illegal underage human trafficing) is going to happen whether the city bans rooms by the hour or not.

I took a class in college called "social issues". In that class, there was a section focused on prostitution and we learned about the levels that are involved. The levels go from "truck stop girls" to women who follow prestigious businessmen around the country to provide their services and of course everything inbetween.

What is the big problem here? The clientele of the rooms by the hour or the latter I explained above?
Thank GOD you are not allowed to make laws. What a sad place the world would be.

You have yet to explain why it should be legal.

Unfortunately...a lot of our incoming lawmakers have similar ways of thinking.

It seems this topic (rent by the hour) is a dead horse and we're all beating it to a pulp. It has morphed into a bigger problem. It's interesting to see how much people are willing to tolerate or find objectionable. The big problem is not in any one of these things...it's the domino effect that many of these things create. That becomes a bigger threat to the community. We just can't pick and choose our poison or patches. Tolerating one taboo may just be feeding a worse one somewhere else. The thugs ripping off SC's neighbor no doubt dabbling in a lot of illegal/immoral/destructive behavior. No one really needs a class on any of it to understand that.

Its not just the new generation.. its a lot of the older generation.. As long as it isnt happening to me or my family.. it isnt happening.. That happens a lot on these boards too.. if it doesnt happen to me.. it isnt happening.. thats basically the way it is here... that is why this world is so screwed up at times...

That is my point. No person can throw those three words together because not all people consider them to mean the same thing.

There may be things that a person thinks are immoral but it does not happen to be illegal ( drinking, sex before marriage, the slaughter industry, tobacco)

There are things that are destructive that are not illegal (dumping waste into rivers, land development, tatoos)

There are things that are illegal that some people don't agree with (gay marriage, ploygamy, drug use, sodomy, insider trading, making a left on red)

Some people just don't get it.
