There are a few San Diegans who post here, some I don't see as often, but I'm sure they'd be happy to answer. There might even be some who haven't yet introduced themselves.

I do know that there was a gentleman who posted on here a while back whose family moved to SA from California, and then moved back after some months because they could not handle the culture shock and the mentality in SA. I don't remember what CA city they were from, though.

After I posted those pics of San Diego, I want to move there now. It's like a bigger, more sophisticated version of SA, with the Pacific Ocean. San Diego is also pretty laid back, but at the same time has a large educated populus and strong arts background.

Born and raised San Diegan, as is my husband. We love the city, too bad it's gone to hell in a hand basket. Do you ever wonder why we are all moving out here? We still have head hunters calling us from San Diego because everyine is leaving there, like rats off of a sinking ship. San Antonio and San Diego have many similarities, we were pleasantly surprised when we got here. There are 2 things we miss about our old home, the food and our friends. I think enough so cal people are going to move out here to eventually solve the food problem and at the rate our friends are slowly moving out here too. If the housing prices in SD went down by about say 75% and the corrupt govenment by some act of diety managed to pull themselves out of bankruptcy and then miraculously managed to simultaneously fix the obscenely dilapitated school system we'd move back. Until then we're here to stay. You'll find that those who end up moving back probably missed their friends and family too much and I can totally understand that. To each his own.

I thought SD had more going on than SA (nightlife, arts, sailing) and was more cosmopolitan?

Also, with it's close proximity to LA was like a "little LA". Correct me if I am wrong.
