I asked the local foreman what they paid the monkey that sprayed it and then I showed him what was done. He was probably more mad than I was because he obviously didn't look at it prior to giving me that piece of paper. It literally looked like a couple monkeys got ahold of a spray can and sprayed wherever and whatever they wanted. Most surfaces weren't even touched. That's the other way I got the truckload of insulation and got it Quick..

omg, that sucks...i would be pissed also --- atleast if dh sprays it on i know it will be done right...he is soooooo particular and anal about things, almost to the point of being annoying...he used to do interior design work on the Sultan of Brunei's airplanes, so the work had to be perfect...so now that is how he does all the work around the house, to perfection...so i know he will spray every nook and cranny and probably some nooks and crannies that i didn't even know existed ... LOL!!! ...

Yes, we're currently in SA.

Our house is pretty small though (1036 sq ft), so I worry about how much our bill is going to go up along with the size of our house.

We're not on the budget plan & our bill last month was right around $100.

our bill was about the same as yours and we have over 3000 sq ft with radiant barrier. if your new house has energy saving features (radiant barrier, energy star appliances, etc.), I can't imagine it going up much, if any. it might even go down.

Thanks!

The houses we've been looking at are all newer homes (we're going to continue to rent).

The one we're in now was built in 1979 I believe. Nothing energy saving about it. LOL

I have a question and it goes along with this thread. We had some cooling issues over the summer. I had some AC guys come out and they said our attic is exceptionally hot. He said more warm than most houses. We have a radiant barrier, but here's the weird part. When we are upstairs, my sons room is always VERY hot in the summer, and VERY cold in the winter. No other rooms are this extream. Any ideas why??? The AC guy said I'd have to have a roofer come out? Any thoughts?
