I would think that those who work for fundraising will not mind the loss since the potential for harm is much greater. Sounds like Alamo needs to see the other side of the profit coin.
I am happy to see this as my neighbor thought he was smart enough to disobey the law on July 4th. I would rather not have bother the sheriff with drunks setting off fireworks over my house. There was enough trouble last year, no need to repeat those mistakes.

I don't think that they'll be able to enforce it...folks still have a fireworks from 7/4 left over...and they'll just go black market. Mostly kids will buy them then...adults won't go through the trouble. At least, this is what happened in NY/NJ and CA.
It's an improvement...but to think that it'll stop everyone would be foolish.

Remember how Helotes was busting people for buying fireworks just outside the city limits then driving on Rt 16 (which is in the city limits)? I am surprised they didn't try to sue the city over that!inside the city limits; but someone

Yup, people will still buy them black market. They will make a few token busts each season (usually people that have stockpiles, not users) and publicize these, to frighten the rest of the sheople. Those dealers busted will get fines...I've never heard of anyone that was given jail time over fireworks (unless they had a felony record beforehand). Most likely,users will get their "works" confiscated if caught..nothing else. I used to get my fireworks from a cop friend of mine...he always had confiscated 'works" at his home...for his kids.

I understand they wouldn't be able to shoot them in Bexar (legally) but buying them shouldn't be a problem. Did I miss something?
