My hubby just called me & said that CFA (1604/Culebra) opens tomorrow & the parking lot is full of people camped out in tents & whatnot.

Anyone know what's going on? I can't imagine camping out to get a free sandwich or a few nuggets? LOL

This happens at EVERY chic-fil-a in every city. There are people who actually travel from city to city for openings. It's bizarre but who am I to judge? lol

The first 100 customers get free food for a year. Not sure of the limits and specifics, but that's what makes it worth the wait.

On Chic-Fil-A's part, the free media coverage that they get from people camping out is worth much more than the cost of the food they give away to the campers.

Is RD2007 out there amongst the campers? He seems to like his food.

Dang! I like CFA and good deals, but there is a line of dignity & warmth that will not be crossed for freebies

I saw it this morning too. I rolled my eyes and kept driving past. It's one chix meal a week for a year. Big. Deal. You wouldn't catch me out there in this cold rainy weather for anything. Especially a chicken sandwich!!! I agree, I have a certain amount of dignity for that! I posted it in the Culebra/1604 thread too.

If I had known about it, I would have seriously been tempted... wife and I and kids. Dignity be damned!
