The Village at West Pointe
I saw a new For Sale billboard posted at the Northwest corner of Loop 1604 and Wiseman. Apparently, the Village at West Pointe is up for sell (all 3,200 acres). I remember reading about this area some time ago and talk of a possible golf course. Apparently, that fell through. Anyway, here is the web site with plenty of info/maps detailing this area and surrounding West Bexar County.

It looks like they're selling the land to home builders.
It shows they plan 1 new high school, 1 new middle schoo, and three elementary schools within West Pointe.
I like the use of water ways (man made) in the development.

That's amazing...I can't even begin to imagine what the traffic is going to be like in 5 years.

I still don't know how they're going to expand 151 to 211 with Alamo Ranch Parkway in the way. Is there enough ROW for both?

I was under the impression that Alamo Ranch Parkway would become the 151 extension somehow. Certainly they won't do both because the land on either side of AR Parkway is being chopped up for commercial uses. I agree though, that ROW doesn't seem to jive with a major highway/toll road.

The only thing I can think of is it will be elevated. There's enough of a median to allow it.

Elevated...I don't think people living in Alamo Ranch would like that.
What say you Alamo Ranchers?

That's the new "Potranco West" high school site that Northside ISD wants to build and open by the 2010-2011 school year. Its construction monies are included in the new Bond 2007 election slated for this year. Zoning for this school could include all areas south of Alamo Ranch Parkway down past Potranco Rd to the NISD boundary with Medina Valley ISD and Southwest ISD.
