Question What to do while I'm there?

I am going to be in San Antonio in May and would love to know what we should do while we are there.

Also how is the drive to Austin from there?

Thanks!

The drive to Austin is about 85 miles on I-35. I-35 is one of the busiest rural highways in the country. If you take US-281 to US 290, you'll see a lot more scenery and a lot less traffic. Since you're on vacation, I suspect you'd rather see scenery than traffic, Right?

For things to do, check out the sticky thread at the top of the forum for over 20 touristy ideas of things to do in SA.

After you've read that, reply with an answer to "What kinds of things do you like to do that weren't on that list?"

Do the Glass bottom boats on Aquarena take a drive on the backbone and then go to Austin and party your ass off on 4th 5th and 6th streets.

It's busy, but it's also the only rural 6 lane highway that I've seen.

In May bring your bathing suit and visit Schliterbahn for the worlds #1 water park, visit all the missions (to include the Alamo) in San Antonio, if you like rides try Six Flags Fiesta Texas, or visit the largest Seaworld in the US are some of the other fun things to keep on your list. PS....don't forget to enjoy some WORLD FAMOUS BBQ while you are here!
