As others have stated, they delivered a green tub and pick up is Saturday morning. I live in the Bridgwood subdivion so yes they pick up outside 1604.

The Tiger website has a link about the recycling and what they do and don't take. You'll have to call their number to get set up on their recycling program. Telephone is 210.333.4287

Houston operations are housed in a 68,000-square-foot building with nine trailer docks and more than 4 million pounds of covered storage capacity. San Antonio operations are housed in a 75,000-square-foot building containing an automated trailer dumping system, five rail docks, six trailer docks, three drive-in doors, and more than 1 million pounds of covered storage capacity. Greenstar Texas locations also provide secure multi-media destruction spanning most of the state.

okay, i just got a call back --- they do not do recycling in our neighborhood --- per Tiger we have to contact our HOA and the HOA has to contact Tiger --- something about Tiger having to have 100% participation in the recycle program before they will implement it in a neighborhood --- ugh!!!

so now to contact the HOA and see what they need to do to get this started...

That's odd, as not everyone on our street who have Tiger (which is almost everyone) is recycling! And we live outside of 1604...

The flyer we have from Tiger says "Free! Recycle collection will begin Saturday, January 3rd. Just call our office at 333-4287 with your account number handy to receive a recycle bin and begin service."

Cheers! M2

We have Tiger doing recycling every other Saturday here in Fox Grove - outside of 1604, off Evan's Rd. It started when our HOA signed an exclusive contract with Tiger about 9 months ago.

i don't think it's a matter of being outside 1604 or not --- it has to do with the HOA contacting Tiger and getting into cahoots with them --- in other words, me as a customer of Tiger cannot just call up and say "hey, i wanna recycle with you" --- the HOA has to get a contract with them, as Turtle Mom said...

A bit of a thread revival...we were slow to sign up for Tiger's recycling program; but now we are "in the game" and are recycling like mad. When we lived in Belgium, it was mandatory and we probably recycled between half and three-quarters of our trash.

Right now we are are recycling about half of our garbage; but it is overwhelming the little container that Tiger gave us. Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, what are you doing to cope?

I did think I saw some large, clear plastic bags in the recycling truck last Saturday when they picked up in our neighborhood. Anyone know if these are required/preferred and if so, where can we get them?

Thanks! M2
