Yes, they are indeed going to build a bridge on Timber Path over Culebra Creek. However, I found-out that not only are they going to build that bridge, but they're also going to re-route TimberPath so that it comes-out to Culebra at Ansley Bend rather than at Old Grissom. When that neighborhood between Culebra and Timber Path was built, a corridor for Timber Path was left. Here is an annotated aerial shot of the area; I've marked the approximate route in red:

Here is the location on Google Maps:

Timber Path between the new bridge and Old Grissom will be demolished.

The purpose of this change is to simplify and decongest the screwy Timber Path/Old Grissom/Culebra intersection.

Isn't Timber Path the OLD Culebra? and thats the only reason why that intersection existed?

Yes, that's correct. Culebra was shifted to its current alignment ca. 1988. That intersection is an artifact from that. At that time, it was no problem because traffic volumes on Timber Path and Old Grissom were relatively light. But that intersection is too inefficient to handle current traffic volumes.

In the 50s before the expressways existed and San Antonio was bustling with new military bases what is now Military drive and NW Military Highway was how military transports traveled amongst the bases. Where "Military" drive gets lost in the cornfields marks where the military would pick up crates of fruits and vegetables for the base. Transports would continue their travel through the small farms onto their next stop.
