Default Weather in San Antonio

I know my question is dumb but I was wondering what is the weather in San Antonio each season like? Are summers as hot as Tucson?
Does San Antonio get tornadoes? if so is it very often?
I feel like the old movie Private Benjamin where she is so easily influenced to join the Army and she gets there and says, "Where's the green condos and the green fashions I get free?" I don't want to move somewhere and find things out once we're there.

San Antonio has hot summers and mild winters.

It also has perfect springs and falls, though they're not as long or defined as other areas of the country, they're still nice.

Summer in SA is from about mid-April tolate August/early September.

Fall is from mid-September to mid-November.

Winter is from Mid-November to late Janurary/early Febuary.

Spring from Mid-Feb to Mid-April.

Summers can range from the low to mid 90's. On days it's in the low 90's, humidity is high, though not as high as other places in this country. When the temperature is near 100 or over 100 (there have been summers where it never hits 100) the humidity is low.

Winters are mild, but sometimes erratic because one day it's be 75 or 80 degrees and the next day a cold front will blow in and it'll be in the high 30's. That happens probably 3 or for 4 times during the winter months. But for the most part average highs during winter is going to be in the high 60's with a sunny blue sky.

From my experience, Winter doesn't really start until December, and is done by the end of Feb.

It does get hot and the humidity makes it feel even hotter.

It has been said, that if you don't like the weather in Texas - just wait, it will change. So far it's been 3 days hot, 3 days cold it seems like!

Historically the entire month of October averages in the mid 80's.

The last ten years October has averged the following:

08: 85
85
83
83
86
81
78
79
78
83
98: 80

Not continuously. It's randomly spread out over a two month period. lol

When it's 80 in winter, and super sunny out I guess I consider that "nice" but the word Hot was used to be the opposite of Cold and apparently taken too literally. But over Christmas break it was crazy - 40's for a few days, 80 for a few days.

and don't forget the day about 6 weeks ago when it was 80-85 for a high, then snowed by midnight, lol.

seriously, though, as a new person to town, the weather here is great as long as you like mild/warm weather. we do get a few cold days here and there, but usually not more than 2-3 days in a row. the "hot" in the summer is actually quite nice, and not nearly as oppressive as dallas or other places with large heat islands. even on hot days, it will cool off at night, similar to a desert/arid climate. more rain would be nice, but we are in the longest drought in history.
