I had inquired when it was time for my son to go to prek we were in the SCUC ISD and they told me in order for my son to qualify for public preK he would need to be English as a second language, we would need to be active military, OR low income. Unfortunately we didnt fall under any of the above, so we ended up putting him in private preK when we moved to SA. Apparently those guidelines are the norm for all SA area schools.

School District Locator

This website is from the TEA and will let you drill down on a map of Texas that will show all school district boundaries. If you keep zooming in, you should hopefully be able to find your street and confirm which district you are in.

heres the districts website: San Antonio Independent School District. Destination: Exemplary
personally i dont know much about the district. Good luck to you! If all else fails perhaps private school is an option for you. there are some really excellent ones in SA.

i would actually love for my kids to go to private schools...but the military pay isn't quite enough for that...
