Default looking for urban design/planning firms in san antonio-austin

does anyone know where i can find a comprehensive list of urban design/planning firms in the san antonio-austin area? or if you know of some firms that do urban design/planning work please list them. i am an urban designer/planner moving to the area and need to look for jobs. thanks.

thanks. i was hoping if there was another list somewhere of just the urban design/planning firms. but this is helpful too.

Trinity University has an Urban Studies program - perhaps they have a list...

Not a list that I'm aware of. There aren't many firms in town that specialize in that - most "planning" is done by civil engineers (which explains a lot about why suburban SA looks the way it does).

As far as "pure" urban planning firms, TBG has an office here, and does some suburban planning. Parsons has also done some really good work. Other than that, it's basically independant consultants and small architecture firms.

Call Lake-Flato and ask someone in their office for more specifics about what you want. If you're not familiar with their firm, can google them, or read up on them in several books that have been published on their projects.
