Keep in mind that it's also taxable income. If you have two incomes and file jointly, you may want to consider having deductions taken out. I know it sounds insane. A relative got laid off some years ago toward the end of the year. Because his benefit was so small, it never occurred to him to have taxes taken out. When he filed taxes, that little bit of untaxed income put him in a higher tax bracket and he ended up owing taxes even though his benefits had not only run out, but he also had not found a job! Odds are it won't fall that way, but it can ultimately effect your taxable income.

Best of luck to you. Any "system" is frustrating, especially when you don't get to talk to a human being.

I used to "volunteer" at the one on Hillcrest. Mention that you're a veteran when you go in and that helps things. Veterans are supposed to move to the front of the line.

And yes, it does stink to have to go there. They do end to look down their noses at people applying for help and said A LOT of negative things about their "clients". [nitpicky]They also waste a tremendous amount of paper. [/nitpicky]

no, keep filing your UE claims until he starts working. You will get paid for the time that he didnt work. His new employer will hold pay for 2 weeks, so file for the next times that he is supposed to until he gets paid. You will finally get back on track financially. Its due ya'll. The 392 aint much, but its bettern nuttin.
