Hey everyone, I'm new to the San Antonio area and am looking for good private investors in a new restaurant concept. Moderator cut: one sentence - see comment

It's a very High Tech system, touch screen tables that recognize food and drink, place your order the old fashioned way or order directly from the table, it offers interactive games while you wait or read the news, you can use the surface to call your waiter or waitress when you need them, etc.

Very modern, reasonably priced dining. An experience unlike anything in San Antonio right now.

Also, I already have all my information, but I'd just like some feedback from real people in San Antonio.

What would you like to see on the menu?
Where would you like it to be located? (Planning on the RIM, La Cantera, or Stone Oak area at the moment)
What would be a reasonable dining price for you?
If you could take someone here on a date, what's something you would expect from your restaurant?
Is there something you ALWAYS wish a restaurant did or had, that you would love to finally see?
Is there anything as far as service you would like to see done differently?
Open kitchen or closed kitchen? I know I like to see in the kitchen, it adds to the atmosphere and experience.

Thanks!

I'm Travis by the way!

Hi Travis!

You might want to "edit" your post, as asking for investors will probably be seen as "advertising" per the TOS. However, asking for location ideas is a GREAT idea that I sure hope the mods will allow!

Depending upon your "new restaurant concept", there are many of us on the "Far West" area of town (1604/Culebra to Potranco) who would love to see a couple of things ~

1) Something HEALTHY and fresh!

2) A nice bar/brewery type thing. (Like Flying Saucer/Freetail Brewing).

Good luck!

And no, sorry, I don't got any $$ for ya. Well, depending upon whatcha open I may come spend $ there, tho!

Thanks Jules! I edited and tried to make it a little more reasonable. I added some questions for everyone too!

Well Travis, Iunno HOW new you are to SA, but the areas that you are considering locating your restaurant in are already LOADED with them! Read thru this forum for awhile, and you'll see that lots of them are closing. We keep telling people but they won't listen to us ~ "Look at the Alamo Ranch area"! THAT is were the growth is right now.

(Yeah, I know I know ~ the demographics say that we're too "poor". yeesh!)

Hmmm, an area replete with hard-working families that really appreciate a good meal that THEY haven't cooked? whodathunk?

AR (by MY definition) is anything along 1604 between Potranco and Culebra, but specifically the Alamo Ranch shopping center that is home to Super Target and many other retail outlets. LOTS o' space available there!

But I'll answer your questions anyway.

FRESH, healthy! Something different.

NOT there! Alamo Ranch area.
What would be a reasonable dining price for you?
Depends. Date night ~ $15-25 per entree, casual family time ~ $7-15 per entree
If you could take someone here on a date, what's something you would expect from your restaurant?
Dunno that what I'm envisioning that you described screams "Date Night" to me. Fun night out with a group, yeah. As always, GREAT service, cleanliness, nice atmosphere, yummy food are expected, tho.
Is there something you ALWAYS wish a restaurant did or had, that you would love to finally see?
Hmmmmmm..... thinking......
Is there anything as far as service you would like to see done differently?
Prompt but not in your face/annoying, courteous but not "Hey, I'm your new best friend!", professional and pleasant.
Open kitchen or closed kitchen? I know I like to see in the kitchen, it adds to the atmosphere and experience.
I can't stand open kitchen. But that's just me.

I'll have to go scope it out in person, and that sounds like EXACTLY the definition I was looking for I paid somebody to do some market research for me and looks like they were just trying to wreck me. But it's the people who spend the money, which is exactly why I'm here asking y'all for help!

Anybody need a job?
