Default Downtown Fire: San Pedro and Marshall

Holy Crap! Huge fire being reported by KENS 5 in apartments at Marshall and San Pedro near the Lubys (and Lulu's) on Main. Anyone have first hand info?

saw it and went to look up renters insurance rates for my son's apartment. that was an awful fire and I wouldn't want something like that happening to them. I'm surprised I didn't think of it until tonight. It's a little over $300/year, but worth it if something happens.

I hope everyone made it out of that apartment building.

Why was the news man saying the helicopter pictures where HD? They sure didn't look good to me.

They were HD on my HDTV. The broadcast signal probably wasn't that great, so the HD resolution just made that more apparent.

It's worthy, because I bet your son is not the only person that lives in that building (same goes for me)

I saw it coming home. Coming up from the south I thought it was much closer to downtown (it looked like it was not much behind the Crowne Plaza building). It was a huge fire! Very scary.

Renter's insurance is quite cheap, and very very worth it.

when I google it it shows as a nursing home. The news didn't mention that as I watched. Can anyone confirm or deny?

that would be even more terrible.

It was an apartment complex. There's two folks unaccounted for...but noone can say whether they were actually home during the fire.

The helicopter's camera is HD. The transmitter from the helicopter to the station is not.
