From Twitter / ksatnews

Quote:
At least 3 large grass fires working in Bexar Co. right now... More burning in Atascosa Co. Dry conditions are causing big problems in SoTx

Last Friday there were about 6 grass fires along a hwy by my house. They had to have been set intentionally. It makes you wonder what people are thinking.

Is that the huge smoke trail we can see towards SW San Antonio this afternoon? I hope no one's home is threatened...

Cheers! M2

Today's big grass fires are in South Bexar County and at Camp Bullis, according to the same ksatnews link.

Actually, I was driving down Military (the part that cuts through Lackland) and noticed that there was a huge section of grass that had burned. Had to have been someone tossing their cigarette out the window, as there really wasn't anywhere a person would be (no sidewalk or such). When will people learn?!?

Haven't heard about the fires on Bullis, I hope they aren't bad!

Cheers! M2

I followed behind someone once on Bandera rd. - they had a flat, but kept driving slowly along the side of the road. Well, the rim was throwing sparks everywhere, and by the time someone had stopped them they had started 4-5 small grass fires in less than a mile. I put out two of them with my feet! I never did see who was driving the car....
