Cannolis or Italian bakeries in San Antonio?
Anyone know of a place that makes cannolis here? My boss said there's an Italian bakery in Alamo Heights but didn't know a name. I've been dying for a cannoli for months and will probably end up driving up to Austin if I don't find any here. Whole Foods had a couple once so I bought one and it was terrible.
Please tell me there's a place to find them locally!

Check out Pizzabella on Nacadoches Rd...we ate there on Friday evening (VERY nice live music), great food and altho I did not have one, I noticed the lady next to us eating one....
based on the rest of their food we had, I bet they are GOOOOOODDDDD!
This place also has a full bar service...and DH was happy they had several "good" beers on tap!
Pizza, Italian food, Pizza Bella - best pizza and italian food in San Antonio

You might try calling Paesano's in Alamo Heights on Basse Rd (actually Lincoln Heights near the Quarry.) They had a separate bakery in the same shopping center, and I think it's still there. That may be the location your boss mentioned.
good luck and let us know!

The HEB on Hwy 281 and Evans has them. They make plain, with chocolate chips, and almonds.

i wonder if the people at HEB are thinking "Why are the cannolis so popular lately?"

Your most welcome. Be sure to check to make certain your cannolis are completely stuffed, though. I bought a bad batch, I guess, as two of them only had filling at the ends--nothing in the middle! But they seem to have corrected the problem. It was kind of like buying a hot dog in a bun, with the only ends having pieces of hot dogs.

Wondering if they thought that was how they were supposed to be?
