Default Dental Care, No Insurance in San Antonio?

I have no dental insurance and I have a tooth that is broken and rotting away that desperately needs to be fixed ASAP.
This is my front tooth we're talking about so this is an emergency.

I can probably afford maybe like 50 bucks a month if somewhere will take payments.

Any suggestions?

That was serious. Plenty of Americans cross that border for dental work everyday. You should consider it. A lot of those dentists are trained...right here in the USA. Beggars can't be choosers. For that $50, you could probably get the entire job done.

Well, you asked for suggestions. Sorry. Try Googling "Border Mexican Dentists " for more info.

Walzem Dental, near 35 and 410, off Walzem. 210-657-0101 8110 Windway Dr. We have insurance, but they do have a little sign by the receptionist that they take payments. My kids see Dr Seiler and he is good.

Try University Hospital. May I ask if you think you have an infection like an abcess? Do you have a growth on your neck, jaw, or cheek area either felt from the inside or outside? If so than I suggest you get to University as soon as possible, and be prepared to wait.

The reason I suggest University for immediate attention is because if you do have an infection, most DDS will not extract the tooth at first. They will require an exam, xrays, prescribe antibiotics for the infection, have you reschedule after you take the antibitotics, then perhaps charge for an office visit, maybe addtl xrays, THEN they will either treatment plan you if they somehow think the tooth is salvagable OR at that point extract the tooth. THAT will cost you alot of money. Most DDS idea of a payment plan is thru obtaining credit thru Care Credit or Capital One credit. Very few, none that I can even think of, offer in house financing anymore. Good luck and I hope you get well soon!
